Some common questions

Wedding days have a lot of moving parts, and hopefully the answers below can help clarify some things. Please reach out if I can answer any additional questions for you!

  • My wedding pricing is à la carte and can be customized to fit your day. I begin my quotes for 2 photographers at $3800, and my solo package at $3100.

  • Each package includes an edited online gallery with password protection, a PDF photo schedule, and the number of hours we agree fits your day best. A typical wedding day would begin with some getting ready photos, and end with a half hour or hour of your guests dancing.

  • Most of my weddings fall in the 7–9 hour range. Single photographer weddings typically suit couples with smaller guest counts and usually range from 4–9 hours, depending on the couple’s plans.

  • Once you’ve chosen a package and any add-ons, we’ll sign a contract and you’ll submit a 50% retainer payment. That secures your date and kicks off the planning process. The remaining balance is due the week of the wedding or on the day itself.

  • Before I create and send your contract, I like to have a quick call to discuss how your day will flow and where photos will take place. This helps us determine the best coverage and number of shooters for your wedding. Closer to the date, we’ll schedule another call to finalize your PDF photo schedule — including locations, timing, activities, and a family photo list on the second page. Once that’s set, aside from any final edits to the family list, we’re ready for your big day.

  • I recommend reaching out at least a year in advance to ensure I’m available on your date. The most popular months are June, September, October, and November. But even if you’re booking last minute, don’t hesitate to get in touch — if I’m available, I’d love to be part of your wedding.

  • Absolutely! I’m open to traveling for weddings. I don’t charge travel fees for drives under 1.5 hours each way. Beyond that, travel fees may apply, and additional costs like hotel stays are usually involved. I’ll always be upfront about any expenses from the start.

  • Yes! I love shooting film for its distinctive look. It can be added to any session, including engagements and weddings. I’m happy to send pricing details anytime if you reach out through my contact form.

  • I guarantee at least 100 photos per hour of coverage. The final number of edited images varies based on factors like coverage time, events, and whether there’s a bridal party. Most weddings fall within a 700–1300 photo range, creating a comprehensive story of the day.

  • Absolutely! I have the insurance your venue needs and I’m happy to send over my COI whenever they ask. I also make sure my gear is insured, so everything’s covered on your big day.

  • I find that sticking to a full shot list can feel robotic and limits creativity, making it more about the list than your day. With over ten years of experience, you can trust me to capture your day in a way that reflects my portfolio. The only list we’ll collaborate on is your family photo list. I’ll send you a sample template along with the first draft of your wedding day schedule. Any specific requests are encouraged and will be added during our call.

  • In over a decade of shooting weddings, this has never happened. But if I’m ever unable to attend due to illness or emergency, I have trusted professionals who can step in to cover your day. If a suitable replacement can’t be found, you’ll receive a full refund. All these details are clearly outlined in the contract for your peace of mind.

  • Yes! I always bring three camera bodies, five lenses, and two flashes to every wedding. I actively use all of this gear, and with plenty of redundancy, I never worry about losing coverage due to equipment issues.

  • You can add extra hours to your package, include film photography for that timeless feel, or book an engagement session. Prints are always available to order right from your gallery, but you’re also welcome to print your photos yourself if you prefer. I’m also exploring adding video services in the near future.

  • I deliver galleries through Pixieset, which offers password-protected access, download pins, favorites lists, and easy sharing with family and friends. After we chat, I’ll gladly send you full wedding examples so you can see how it works.

  • For larger weddings, having a second shooter is a great help. They allow us to capture getting ready moments and bridal party shots simultaneously. They also act as a second pair of hands to assist when needed, such as grabbing a forgotten bouquet while we keep shooting.
