Why do i offer film?

Because film feels timeless, honest, and beautifully imperfect

A bride and groom portrait outdoors among green bushes and flowers, with the bride holding a large bouquet of flowers, both smiling and dressed in wedding attire.
A black and white photo of a bride and groom kissing during their wedding dance.
A black and white photograph of a couple sharing a kiss, with the woman wearing earrings and an elegant dress, and the man dressed in a tuxedo.

film just…

Seems more organic. More tangible.

That heavy snap of the shutter, the feel of the film advancing and winding, the grain, the character of the older lenses, I really enjoy everything about it. It makes me think carefully about each shot, it makes me slow down. It has a completely different character.

I am excited to offer film as an add-on to to both weddings and engagement sessions. I find it to be an excellent complimentary medium, and if a couple wanted it as a primary form of capture, I’m confident I could deliver that as well.

I started offering the add-on because it is something I genuinely enjoy, and I want my couples to have access. Charging for it justifies investing in my film equipment and continuing to grow this offering within my business. For now, I prefer shooting 35mm film and I have my ideal camera for it; I may explore the option of adding 120 film in the future.

Personally, I love it.

I would be happy to send you a larger Film portfolio, and more specifics about the add-on.
